One of the things that I was excited about trying with the YuDu was printing onto albums. And guess what - it worked out just great ! I have several albums that I don't really know what's in them until I open them up. Now I have a way to label them. And with Val being Australian - I thought I'd start with one of our Australia albums.
Then, since I had the screen already burned, I just taped out the "1995" and did a custom shirt for him using the same screen.
I've got to tell you I was exhausted after my first project with the YuDu (the shopping bags). But my second project, this album cover, went much quicker and I got a bit of a rhythm going.
Here's a close up of the detail of the design. I'm not a graphic artist by any stretch of the imagination, cannot create my own stuff. So I just found this design in some clip art I already owned.
I used a blow dryer to help set the ink on this. The ink is supposed to be heat set with an iron - but was afraid to iron onto an album. So the blow dryer seems to have worked great.
I did make a mistake on my first pull - got a smear. But the ink is water-soluable so I just rinsed off the album front and gave it another go.
I know some are afraid of the size of the YuDu - so just to give you an idea of how big it is ...... well - it's just a bit longer than my cat !
So - what do I make next ??
